BLACKHEATH FUNFAIR

Blackheath situated in the Greenwich borough is a vast space utilized by the public for picnics, kite flying during the summer, fireworks, and other loved children events like in the night garden, and zippo circus, to mention a few.

We haven't been to funfairs in a while. So the other day, as we drove past the fair, we thought it a good idea to pay a visit and see what was on offer. Particularly great as it half term.

The Blackheath funfair began on the 22nd of October and continues until the 30th of October. Its Location is the Blackheath Common, South East London.

We arrive several minutes before the fair opened and it was great to not have to wait in line for long to enjoy the rides and activities. The weather favored us greatly. Not a single drop of rain was in sight. It did turn a bit breezy a few hours in. Yes, we spent a good 3 hours exploring several rides and enjoying lunch at one of the food stations.

let me say here that one of the biggest letdowns and reluctance for attending funfairs prior to this visit was the fact that you needed to have cash to hand to purchase tokens for rides and so on however imagine my delight that this year, you could actually purchase tokens with your card. That for me was such a massive game changer and the reason we were able to enjoy more rides and spend more time at the funfair than we would originally have done if it was just cash-based.

The rides and activities presented to cater to a wide variety of ages and thrills. We didn't engage in the over-the-top thrill-seeking rides as I am terrified of heights and fast pace activities but it was fun watching and hearing the screams of those who did.

There was a great lineup of rides on the common such as Manning Freak Out, Hollands Superbowl, Remblances Waltzer, and more.
